Travelling around the world, your job will range from cooking for the ship's company on board warships or Royal Marines on land operations, to serving a fine dining experience to politically influential VIPs and Royalty. Responsibility for ordering, receiving, and accounting for provisions to sustain the menus you write ashore and at sea.

As a Survival Equipment Technician (SET), you will maintain vital lifesaving equipment to enable aircrew to operate safely. This equipment will help them to survive on land, sea or in the air in peacetime or on military operations. You will also learn how to assist in the training of aircrew on land and sea in survival techniques.

Logistics is the backbone of the Royal Navy. It’s your job to work closely with your Logistics Officer to make sure your crewmates have what they need, when they need it – wherever you are in the world. But being a logistician in the Submarine Service is different. Without you, the submarine wouldn’t – and couldn’t – be operational.

Joining the Royal Navy on the Accelerated Apprentice Scheme (Submariner) means being fast-tracked to working with one of our most elite teams. You'll be paid to study, gain practical skills and use highly sophisticated equipment. Prior to that you'll spend time in active service as either a Marine Engineer Submariner or Weapon Engineer Submariner.

Not only will you become part of the Silent Service, the highly specialised team at the forefront of our nation’s defence, you’ll also embark on a catering career like no other, where you’ll cook for the boat’s crew as well as deliver high end front of house service to visiting VIPs and royalty when the submarine is in port.

As an Engineering Technician Communications and Information Systems Specialist (Submariner) you'll be part of the elite Silent Service and a central member of your vessel’s engineering team. Using ultramodern radio and satellite systems to communicate with off-vessel command, you’re key to tactical and strategic communications.

Could you become part of the world’s most elite amphibious force and wear the coveted green beret? It’s not for everybody, that’s for sure. Digging deep to aim high, you’ll stop for nothing. In the most hostile environments, and on the most treacherous terrain.

Being a Warfare Specialist (Submariner), means working with some of the most advanced computer systems available to identify, track and, if required, destroy potential threats. This will involve the covert monitoring of all other vessels (surface and sub-surface, friend or foe) within range of the advanced array of different sensors onboard.

As an Apprentice Naval Airman (Aircraft Handler), you’re responsible for safety whenever there’s aircraft on the deck or the ground. That means working with flight crews at Royal Naval Air Stations (RNAS), on our state-of-the-art warships, or even the new Queen Elizabeth Aircraft Carrier.

You’ll be at the heart of these missions whether they’re in a Mediterranean port, or on operations in the Persian Gulf. As a Mine Warfare Specialist you’ll lead the way for our fleet, clearing any mines in its path.

Fancy being fast-tracked to a crucial role in our world-class marine engineering team. After accelerated training, it's your job to make sure our state-of-the-art warships are ready for action. Where you are, whatever the problem, you'll keep us moving, from the Engine Room of a Type 45 Destroyer, to providing electricity for a Type 23 Frigate.

As an Engineering Technician (Marine Engineering) (Submariner), you’re the driving force of the boat. It’s down to you to keep our submarines moving, deep below the surface. You’ll often be on highly sensitive operations, where avoiding detection is paramount. Without the power you provide, the vessel, and your crewmates, are stranded.

Being an Engineering Technician (Marine Engineering) means being pivotal to day-to-day operations. You’ll ensure our state-of-the-art warships are powered, maintained and ready for action. Wherever you are, whatever the problem, you’ll be finding innovative and resourceful solutions for fixing it on the way to becoming a world-class engineer.

Being a Intelligence Analyst means you’re vital to the Royal Navy's intelligence gathering operation. The go-to for information that shapes the operational decision-making process. Your insight will transform raw data into an indispensable analysis of the situation. You’ll also use your keen eye for detail to prepare briefings for senior officers.

An Engineering Technician (Weapon Engineering) takes responsibility for the serviceability, readiness and accuracy of systems to make a Royal Navy Ship a Warship. You will be keeping advanced electronic systems, communications, information systems and weapons ready for action anywhere in the world.

As an Engineering Technician (Weapon Engineering) (Submariner), you’ll be maintaining and preparing some of the most advanced defence technology ever developed. Patrolling the oceans and getting your hands on some incredible kit. You might be working with ballistic missile systems one day, and state-of-the-art sensors and radars the next.
